Gross gambling yield (GGY, also GGR)
What a gambling company keeps from players' stakes after paying out winnings and before its running costs. Outside Great Britain the same measure is usually called gross gaming revenue, or GGR.
In practice
If customers stake £100m in a year and win back £92m, gross gambling yield is £8m. It is the standard measure of market size and the base for many gambling taxes and levies.
