Privacy and cookies

You can read Croupier without an account and without giving us your name or email. This page explains what data is still collected when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. Last updated: 5 October 2026.

Who is responsible

Croupier (croupier.media) is an independent news publication. If you have a question about your data, write to editor@croupier.media.

What we collect and why

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. The site has no accounts and no comments.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that a site saves in your browser. We set them only if you press “Accept”. They belong to Google Analytics, help it tell one visitor from another, and stay in your browser for up to two years.

If you press “Decline”, no cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time; if you decline later, the cookies already set are deleted. Your choice is remembered in your browser, not on our servers.

Who else receives the data

Two companies process data for us: Cloudflare (hosting, security and visit statistics) and Google (Google Analytics). They may process it in the United States and other countries outside the EEA and the UK, under the safeguards set out in their own policies: Cloudflare, Google. We share data with no one else.

Links to source documents and to our Telegram channel and Threads profile take you to other sites, which have their own rules.

How long data is kept

Google Analytics keeps visit data for up to 14 months. We keep emails for as long as it takes to deal with your request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to editor@croupier.media. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
