Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
An independent body that settles a dispute between a customer and a gambling company without going to court. In Great Britain licensed operators must offer it free of charge.
In practice
A customer whose winnings are withheld first complains to the operator. If the complaint is not resolved within eight weeks, the customer can take it to the operator's approved dispute resolution provider.
